‘My rock’: Meet Connie Ferguson’s pillar of strength since Shona’s death

Connie Ferguson has faced two tough years since the passing of her husband, Shona. The couple, often referred to as a power couple, shared a strong bond, and Shona was Connie’s rock.

Shona was not only a caring father but also a loving and devoted husband. He supported Connie in every way and filled a significant role in her life.

Since Shona’s death, Connie has struggled to fill the void he left. While no one can truly replace Shona, she has found another pillar of strength in her life.

That pillar of strength is her younger sister, Otosie. Connie and Otosie share a deep bond, and Connie expressed her love and appreciation for her sister on Atosie’s birthday.

In a heartfelt message, Connie thanked Atosie for being her rock, safe place, and happy place. She emphasized the profound love and connection they share and thanked God for her wonderful sister.

Atosie reciprocated the love and bond they have, expressing her deep affection for her big sister. Their close-knit family remains a strong foundation for Connie during these challenging times.

Samsung Rolls Out September 2023 Security Update for Galaxy S23 Series in Europe

In a recent development, Samsung has expanded its rollout of the September 2023 security update to include the Galaxy S23 series in Europe. This update, initially released in the US, encompasses both carrier-locked and factory-unlocked versions of the phones, ensuring that users in Europe can benefit from enhanced security.

Security-Focused Update

The latest software update, which is now available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in European countries, brings firmware version S91xBXXS3AWHR. With a download size of approximately 320MB, this update focuses primarily on bolstering security.

It incorporates the September 2023 security patch, addressing more than 60 security vulnerabilities identified in the previous software version. However, it doesn’t introduce any new features or performance enhancements.

Recent Camera Improvements

It’s worth noting that just last month, the Galaxy S23 series received a significant software update in certain regions. This update brought substantial improvements to the camera system, along with new camera features. While the current September 2023 security update prioritizes security fixes, the previous update contributed to enhancing the phone’s photography capabilities.

How to Check and Update

For Galaxy S23 series owners residing in Europe, checking for and installing the new update is a straightforward process. To begin, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings on your device.
  2. Scroll down and select Software update.
  3. Tap Download and install to initiate the update process.

Alternatively, if you prefer to manually update your device, you can download the new firmware file from Samsung’s firmware database. Subsequently, you can flash the firmware manually using a Windows PC and the Odin firmware flashing tool.

Upcoming Android 14 Update

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 series earlier this year, running on Android 13. Notably, these phones have already received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update in select countries for registered devices. As the year progresses, Samsung is set to deliver the stable Android 14 update to these phones, offering users an upgraded and enriched software experience.

Stay tuned for further updates and enhancements as Samsung continues to refine and secure its Galaxy S23 series.
