Requirements

To qualify for these Driver Messenger positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education:
  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (Grade 8 or 9) or an AET/ABET Level 2 Certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Driver’s License:
  • A valid Code 8 driver’s license (Code 10 is advantageous).

  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physically fit to handle delivery tasks and minor manual labor.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

  • Experience:
  • Basic knowledge of messenger duties, such as mail delivery and document transport, is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Other:
  • Must be a South African citizen with a clean criminal record (background checks will be conducted).

Duties

As a Driver Messenger, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, delivering, and distributing mail, documents, and packages between offices and sites in KZN, Western Cape, or Eastern Cape.
  • Operating and maintaining the assigned vehicle, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition.
  • Assisting with basic administrative tasks, such as logging deliveries and reporting issues.
  • Performing minor manual tasks as needed, such as loading and unloading items.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of items while adhering to road safety regulations.
