Scandal’s producers have released a statement pointing out that actor Hungani Ndlovu hasn’t been offered any salary hike by Scandal neither is he returning to the show.

Scandal’s producer; Sanele Zulu confirmed the rumours as fake news!

“Any rumours regarding Hungani Ndlovu either resigning or returning to Scandal due to salary issues are false. Last year Hungani requested to go on leave for personal reasons which have no bearing on Scandal whatsoever. Our relationship with Hungani has always been extremely positive and remains so until this day.”

A certain media outlet stated:

“Guess who’s returning to Scandal sooner than we expected? The scandal has officially offered Hungani Ndlovu R85 000 to R100 000 to return to the show, making him one of the highest-paid actors in SA.”

This is not the first time that rumours about the actors future on the show have surfaced. The show denied claims twice last year that there was any bad blood between Scandal and Ndlovu.

The actor’s exit from Scandal shocked Mzansi last year and many are still requesting for his return to the show.

Ndlovu apparently felt that he was being targeted by some people in the production, and he just decided to make things easy for them by resigning from ETV’s number one show.

Other sources claimed that Ndlovu and Masasa Mbangeni who played Thembeka were beefing behind the scenes.

The producers drafted a statement which read:

“The channel, together with Orche Media, refuse the claims that Hungani was fired for bad behaviour on the show, nor had his character; Romeo, been killed off. We have the highest regard for Hungani’s professionalism and humility as an artist. He has always behaved with the utmost respect towards his employers and colleagues.”

Scandal is currently the third most-watched show in South Africa with 4.6 million views in South Africa for the month of December followed by Skeem Saam with 4.4 million views
