Moana lost her life in the morning after her 26th birthday on November 8 along Borrowdale road. Just a month ago the social media star took to Instagram to announce her engagement and the congratulatory messages came flooding. In a post, she wrote, “officially off the streets.”
Delays with her burial
Both sides of Moana’s family did not see eye to eye in terms of how and when to bury their late daughter. Her father’s side of her family was claiming superiority in the arrangement of burial plans.
Her body could not be identified
Michelle had her funeral delayed because authorities could not identify her remains after she got burned in the car. However, DNA test results for the burnt remains of Mitchelle ‘Moana’ Amuli, Lumumba Karim Cazal and Alichia Adams were finally concluded and released to the CID Forensic department by the National University of Science and Technology’s (NUST) Applied Genetic Testing Center.
Family demanded Kandungure’s family to settle her burial fees
Moana‘s family demanded that Ginimbi’s relatives pay $5K (USD) as a funeral bill for their daughter who passed away in Ginimbi’s Rolls Royce in a horrific accident on the 8th of November.
Moana’s second memorial service
The late socialite Mitchelle “Moana” Amuli is set to have a second memorial which will be held on the 2nd of January in Highfield. Moana’s father, Ishmael Amuli and his family held their own memorial service dubbed Sadaka three days after the socialite’s burial.
Custody over Moana’s daughter
Moana’s parents reportedly clashed in the early hours over their granddaughter (Moana’s daughter) and the matter was expected to be in court this week.
Relatives or friends of Moana’s mother, Yolanda Kuvaoga allegedly stormed Ishmael Amuli’s Domboshava home at around 3 am demanding Moana’s daughter. It was reported that Lloyd Chipomho, who is the biological father of Tyra is said to have taken her to Ishmael Amuli for her to get used to Domboshava.
