A court in Botswana is hearing a case involving the handling of the late socialite and businessman Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure’s businesses in that country.
At law, a dead person cannot stand for trial meaning Ginimbi himself is not liable, but however, the executor of his estate Patricia Darangwa appeared in court instead.
In November last year, The High Court of Zimbabwe appointed Patricia Darangwa as the administrator and executor of Genius Kadungure’s massive estate after the Kadungure family unanimously accepted on using an unsigned document as the official last will and testament of Ginimbi.
According to a report published on a Botswana based Facebook page, Patricia Darangwa was taken to court over the handling of Quick Gases and Matiflex Oils.
It remains unclear who took Ginimbi’s estate administrator to court.
It is alleged that Patricia Darangwa who was appointed to be Ginimbi’s estate administrator was dragged before the court over handing Quick Gases and Matiflex Oils, reads part of the facebook post.
The matter was heard in court yesterday before Justice Itumeleng Segopolo.
Ginimbi and three of his friends perished in a tragic road accident last year along Borrowdale road.
