Zimdancehall star Ian Makawi who is popularly known as Platinum Prince has once again stirred controversy with his brand new song titled ‘Pamariro aMoana’.
The song has been received with mixed feelings on social media as it is a direct jab at Moana’s parents who are currently engaged in endless battles over their daughter’s burial.
There are those who are saying the timing of the song was inappropriate and that Platinum Prince lacked empathy in releasing the song before Moana was buried.
While others – Zimdancehall fans obviously- praised Platinum Prince for his creativity in releasing a ‘dope tune’ in a very short space of time.
Below are a few comments from Twitter:
‘Very creative but insensitive, he could have disguised the names but I guess ziso ra artist riri pachibhanzi chete.Vachirikukura vafana ava’
‘This is a dope song.. manje tobvumirwa kuifarira here?’
‘In very bad taste. He could have done better with a bit of disguise. Way too raw in my opinion.’
‘Hiiiiiii… But the beat is on point though.’
