Longwe told Kelly that Senzo is chewing her cc Zandie, furious Kelly took the gun frm Longwe & shot Senzo. Fresh details emerge

The North Gauteng High Court has heard allegations that the late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa had a se,xual relationship with Zandile Khumalo, the sister of his girlfriend and the mother of his child, Kelly Khumalo.

Advocate Tshepo Timothy Thobane, who represents four of the five men accused of Meyiwa’s 2014 murder, presented the claim during the trial. Thobane suggested that Meyiwa was living with both Kelly and Zandile Khumalo and was involved in se,xual relationships with both sisters. He alleged that Zandile had been brought in to “guard” Senzo while Kelly pursued her music career.

However, Tumelo Madlala, a friend of Meyiwa and a state witness, stated that he did not have knowledge of these allegations. Thobane continued to suggest that Senzo Meyiwa had a sexual relationship with Zandile Khumalo due to Kelly’s extended absences.

Madlala responded by saying, “I cannot agree and I cannot disagree with that because I do know that Senzo loved women.”

Thobane also questioned Madlala about whether he knew that Meyiwa was married, to which Madlala replied affirmatively.

The judge later objected to Thobane’s line of questioning, stating that the state had allowed the witness to provide character evidence on Meyiwa but that such questions were not permitted.

The trial revolves around the events of October 26, 2014, when Senzo Meyiwa was killed at Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus. Five men face charges of murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of ammunition in connection with the case. All the accused have pleaded not guilty.
