Available Positions
Roots Butchery is hiring for multiple roles across our stores in 2025:
1. Cashiers
- Process payments efficiently and accurately.
- Deliver excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at checkout counters.
- Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate, good communication skills, and experience in cash handling (preferred).
2. Butchers and Meat Packers
- Cut, prepare, and pack fresh meats to meet quality standards.
- Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in the workspace.
- Engage with customers to recommend products and fulfill orders.
- Requirements: Relevant experience in butchery or meat processing; knowledge of food safety practices.
3. Cleaners
- Ensure cleanliness of the store, workstations, and restrooms.
- Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Requirements: Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
4. Supervisors and Managers
- Oversee daily operations, staff management, and customer relations.
- Manage stock levels, sales, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Requirements: Leadership experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a background in retail or food services.
5. General Assistants
- Assist with stocking shelves, managing inventory, and providing customer service.
- Support the team to ensure smooth store operations.
- Requirements: Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude; no prior experience required.
