Application Instructions:
Applications must be submitted on the Z83 Form (2021 version), downloadable from http://www.dpsa.gov.za/dpsa2g/vacancies.asp, and must be accompanied by a comprehensive CV detailing employment history and references. Ensure the post title and reference number are clearly indicated on the application form.

Do not attach copies of qualifications, ID, or driver’s licenses with the initial application, as only shortlisted candidates will be required to provide certified copies of their ID, Senior Certificate, qualifications, service certificates, proof of experience, and driver’s license before the interview. All qualifications and licenses will be verified, along with the applicant’s residential address and references.

Late applications will not be accepted. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a personal interview, practical assessments, and vetting processes, including fingerprint screening and checks under the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act, 2007 (Act No 32 of 2007) and the Children’s Act, 2005 (Act No 38 of 2005).

Candidates listed in the National Register for Sx Offenders or Part B of the Child Protection Register will be disqualified. Applicants must disclose any interim or final protection orders under the Domestic Violence Act, 1998 (Act No 116 of 1998) or Protection from Harassment Act, 2011 (Act No 17 of 2011), which may lead to disqualification. As per the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Act, Act 37 of 2013, all new SAPS appointees from 31 January 2015 must provide a buccal (inside cheek) sample for forensic DNA profiling, which will be added to the Elimination Index of the National Forensic DNA Database.

Persons who retired from the Public Service via severance packages, early retirement, or for medical reasons are excluded. Only successful candidates will be contacted, and if you do not hear back within 3 months of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful. SAPS is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, prioritizing representivity in appointments under the Public Service Act, 1994 (Act No 103 of 1994).
