The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites applications for multiple positions at SAPS Academy, Philippi. A buccal (inside cheek) sample for forensic DNA profiling is required for new appointments, per the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Act, 2013. Candidates listed in the National Register for Sex Offenders or Part B of the Child Protection Register, or those with protection orders under the Domestic Violence Act, 1998, or Protection from Harassment Act, 2011, will be disqualified. Persons who retired from the Public Service via severance, early retirement, or medical reasons are ineligible.

Requirements:

  • South African citizen.
  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4.
  • Fluent in at least two official languages, including English.
  • No criminal or departmental convictions/cases pending.
  • Willing to work extended hours.
  • Certificate in food preparation/catering is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment.
    Duties:
  • Manage general mess operations and purchases.
  • Control kitchen stock.
  • Prepare kitchen with utensils and equipment.
  • Plan and cook healthy meals with appealing presentation.
  • Serve meals and provide waiter service.
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and safety compliance.

Food Services Supervisor (1 Post)
