The brand new MDC T Vice President Elias Mudzuri has taken the time to explain why he will work with recently elected President Douglas Mwonzora despite his convictions that the congress was flawed.
Using the Microblogging site Twitter, Mudzuri said he had to strike a balance between his principles and the party when he tweeted that:
A balance btn my principles honesty integrity fair play and interests of the party must be struck. The EOC was grossly flawed but another split is not in the interest of Zimbabweans. The solution to this crisis is in honest engagement and team work.
- US sanctions on Zimbabwe to stay
- Joe Biden calls Robert Mugabe
- Mwonzora to recall MPs loyal to Khupe
- Police Tighten Lockdown Enforcement, Deploy Senior Cops At Checkpoints
- JUST IN: Zimbabwe govt approves use of anti-parasite drug to treat COVID-19
Mudzuri got 14 votes at the extraordinary congress that saw Mwonzora ascending to the throne of the party presidency after polling 600+ more votes than his rival Thokozani Khupe.
Chatter around his appointment as the other VP of the party has already started as people contend that people within the MDC T attacked Morgan Tsvangirai when he appointed Nelson Chamisa the party’s vice president saying it was unconstitutional.
