Tragic Loss: Comrades Runner Ogopoleng Modise Fatally St.àbbed During Saturday Run
The running community is mourning the devastating loss of Ogopoleng Modise, a 37-year-old Comrades runner, who was tragically st.àbbed to d.èath during his Saturday run on July 6. Modise’s lifeless body was discovered the following day, July 7, along a pathway leading from La Verna to town.
Modise, an accomplished runner who had completed his eighth Comrades marathon this year, went for a jog on Saturday morning but never returned home.
