Senzo Meyiwa’s Wife Mandisa Should Be Investigated: Zandie Drops Bombshell Allegation

Kelly Khumalo’s sister Zandie Khumalo Gumede has called on the authorities to investigate Senzo Meyiwa’s wife, Mandisa Mkhize, for the murder of the late Bafana Bafana captain.

Zandie dropped the bombshell allegation during her exclusive interview with Slindelo Masikane on eNCA on Monday night.

The Afro-pop singer alleged that the killing of the former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper may have been a hit gone wrong.

She appeared to suggest that the hitmen may have been contracted to kill Senzo’s girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, by his wife, Mandisa.

Shortly before the interview aired on eNCA, Zandie took to social media to question why Mandisa had not been made a suspect yet the murder had occurred at her husband’s girlfriend’s residence.

Kelly Khumalo’s sister said,

“For the very first time in this country kushona umyeni ushonela [a husband dies] at a girlfriends house yet the wife has never even once been considered a suspect, wake wayizwaphi leyonto [where has such ever happened]???

“Whether she did it or not the investigation will determine but naye akaphenywe [she should also be investigated] !!!!!!!!!!!”

During the eNCA interview, Zandie appeared to suggest that Senzo Meyiwa’s wife and his mother may have taken a hit on her sister.

“No one has ever looked at Mandisa. No one! Why wasn’t Mandisa’s phone also taken? Why is Mandisa not investigated?” she questioned.

She also said that Senzo’s mother hated Kelly with a passion and had tried to break them up using spells.

“Who knows what lengths she and her daughter-in-law could have gone to get Kelly killed?” Zandie asked.

Zandie also insisted that she had tried to keep Senzo alive when they drove him to the hospital.

“I was the one sitting with Senzo at the back [of the car] putting pressure on the wound leading to the hospital. Even on our way to the hospital, I could feel him getting cold from his feet … I was busy talking to him all the way, trying to keep him alive but unfortunately …” she said.

The “Ikhwela” singer was present with her ex-boyfriend Longwe Twala, her sister Kelly, three other adults, and two children when Meyiwa was shot at Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus.

She said she cooperated fully with the police investigation and was interrogated more than once.
