Zanu PF Political Commissar Victor Matemadanda has said Zanu PF will unveil MDC Alliance “big names” that will defect to the ruling party, Newsday reports.
Matemadanda seemingly celebrated what he called the demise of the MDC Alliance and said the party is melting like a burning candle and they were not even done with what they were seemingly doing. Said Matemadanda:
As we speak, MDC Alliance is going down. This is because the likes of Chamisa unscrupulously rose to power.
The party (opposition) is melting like a burning candle. We are not yet through (with them); very soon we will be announcing what we call big names. They are coming back home.
Matemadanda then said the recent defections were an asset to the party as they are already working:
Those who are coming should work for the party. For example, Timveos has invaded Zvishavane and is doing well that side. Zvishavane is roaring.
Matamadanda was speaking at the back of the recent defections of Lilian Timveos and James Makore who were members of the MDC Alliance to the ruling party Zanu PF.
