Schuster had been maintaining a low profile in recent years, but he resurfaced with a new song dedicated to the Springboks just in time for the Rugby World Cup, which kicked off this weekend. The song, titled “Bokmasjien,” is available for streaming on all major platforms.

In his Facebook post, Leon Schuster expressed his gratitude for the support he received from South Africans and revealed that he had been discharged from the hospital after a three-week stay. This hospitalization was a result of injuries sustained while filming the 2022 movie “Mr. Bones 3.” Despite being back home, Schuster found it frustrating to have to take it easy, as he remarked, “When I hear it, I just want to jump up and dance, but then I break my back, my knees, my ankles, and all kinds of stuff. So I’m lying and waiting impatiently for eight weeks to pass.”

Bokmasjien,” Schuster’s new song, was released ahead of the Springboks’ participation in the Rugby World Cup in France, which takes place from September 8 to October 28. South Africa’s national team is set to play their first match against Scotland on September 10. It’s worth noting that they won’t be the only ones with a catchy tune, as Mgarimbe, the creator of “Sister Bethina,” has also released his lively track “Amabokoboko” or “Sister Bokkina” for the occasion.
