The two were said to be coming late for training and not doing the training drills with the team.

A close source said that the two assistant coaches were allegedly in the habit of using juju as a way of sabotaging the head coaches and getting away with it, believing that they would take charge as co-coaches to finish off the season.

Last season, Pearson Matare was dismissed as Chinhoyi Stars head coach after five consecutive losing streaks when Charuza and Kambambaira were assisting him.

The two, Charuza and Kambambaira, took over as co-head coaches to finish off the season, which they had a good start but ended performing dismally, registering a few wins both away and at home.

The club secretary for public relations dismissed the juju allegations, confirming that the assistant coaches were suspended for coming late to the training sessions and that the issue of using juju is just a mere rumor, and our club does not believe in superstitious things.

A hearing will be held in due course, as the two assistants will have to answer and provide reasons for the late arrival and poorly performed performance this season.

Chinhoyi Stars picked up vital points in three consecutive away matches after the two were suspended, three clean shit wins, and their fans hope has been restored.

They won a two-nil match against PAM at Muriel Mine, 3-1 and managed to get away with maximum points, courtesy of two-nil goals at sharp shooter.

This week they host the bottom-placed side on the log, Concession United, who are still looking to register a win this season.

Chinhoyi Stars will be expected to pick up all three points considering the form they are in. While their opponent’s form is in jeopardy, no doubt the three consecutive wins have boosted team morale, and they are going to collect all three points in their forthcoming game.

After a round of 11 games, Chinhoyi Stars sit in 10th position, and Timber is the log leader, followed by Blue Ribbon and Gunner’s FC, which is set to drop 3 points for malicious damage to property when they played against Rainthunder Bullets in the local division derby.

Many fans are still not convinced if the stars will maintain their current form till the end of the season, as they have been disappointed by their community team’s failure to conquer the northern division league.

One Lucky Charism said it’s been a while since the Nom team from Chinhoyi has been promoted to the top flight league, and for years they hoped Stars was that time, but it is always regression.

He went on to say every season the team has a fair share of troubles, be it the migration of players or the firing of coaches and board members. I think when the dust settles, they can play football, but I am yet to see that side for our own team.
