Jabulani Mjey Zama, the well-known owner of Eyadini Lounge, has sadly passed away. The co-founder of Eyadini Lounge, Jabulani Mjey Zama, breathed his last on Saturday, August 12, 2023. This unexpected demise has led to the temporary suspension of all operations at Eyadini Lounge.

The news of his passing was confirmed by Isolezwe, which shared a heartfelt statement announcing the temporary closure of the lounge due to this tragic loss. The cause of Jabulani Mjey Zama’s sudden and untimely death was attributed to a severe stroke, ultimately leading to a heart attack.

Jabulani Mjey Zama’s journey saw him transition from a policeman to the towing business before venturing into the hospitality industry with the establishment of Eyadini Lounge. Founded in 2009 and operational since 2011, Eyadini Lounge, situated in Umlazi, Durban, gained immense popularity, attracting both celebrities and politicians. As a prominent hangout spot and a significant tourism attraction in KwaZulu-Natal, Eyadini Lounge played a vital role in the local scene.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Position: Boilermaker.
Division: Kwanza Sands Minerals.
Location: Athlone Industrial.
Reporting to: Engineering Superintendent.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and construction of equipment to the highest standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Responsible for manufacturing of assemblies (pipe and structural).
• Responsible for manufacture and installation.
• Routine repairs on pipes, tanks, chutes, fitting etc.
• Dredging submerged mining equipment.
• Process plants routing and equipment.
• Piping for different flow mediums and regimes.

REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric or Technical equivalent.
• Must be a qualified Boilermaker Trade Test (Red Seal).

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years as a Boilermaker in a Mining / Processing environment.
• Stick welding and flame cutting.
• MIG, argon arc and plasma cutting (pre-requisite).
