“Engathi ngingafa” says Babes Wodumo

Fans of South African musician Babes Wodumo had raised concerns about her after she wrote a death message on her Instagram story.

She had written: “Engathi ngingafa.”

Mampintsha passed away on Christmas Eve the previous year after suffering a stroke. In an interview with Zimoja, Babes had revealed that life had been hard since the passing of Mampintsha.

“At times it was lonely, having to have this big house all by myself, no more funny remarks from him. It had been challenging, but she had handled it very well because life should go on,” she had said.

Since the death of her husband up until that day, it seemed like Babes was not healing. The message she wrote on her Instagram story had left fans more concerned about her.

Babes Wodumo had still been picking up the pieces after the death of her husband, Mampintsha. In a recent Facebook live video, Babes had revealed that season three of their reality show “Uthando Lodumo” was meant to showcase their white wedding but now showed Mampintsha’s funeral instead.

“We were separated by death,” she had said.

“God took away what I loved the most.”

Babes had said she had lost a number of her friends since Mampintsha’s death and hadn’t seen some of her late husband’s friends since the funeral.

“I last saw all of Mampintsha’s friends at his funeral. There wasn’t even one person.”

When speaking about getting back into the dating pool in the future, Babes had jokingly spoken of her preference.

“Should I ever decide to date again, I think I prefer to be with a white man, somebody who does not like to talk too much.”

She had been focusing on the rollout of Mampintsha’s Original Shandis Gin and releasing music.
