Inno had been filled with excitement when she inaugurated the new branch in Mooikloof back in September 2023. But unfortunately, that excitement turned to sadness when circumstances led to the closure of the church.

The trouble began when the church, owned by Inno and her husband Pastor Phindu Sadiki, entered into a rental agreement for the premises in Mooikloof. The agreement was for three years, and at the time, the premises were not in use. However, things took a turn when the owners decided they wanted to repurpose the space for their own use.

In a statement, Church @ the Valley explained the situation. They said that in November 2023, the landlord informed them that the premises were needed for their own ministry, and thus, the church would need to vacate.

This turn of events left the congregation, especially those in Mooikloof, disheartened. They had just started to bond with the church, and now they were being uprooted.

To address the situation, the church announced that they would be consolidating their congregation back to their main branch in Midrand. The last service at the Mooikloof branch would be on February 25, 2024, with the relocation to the Midrand branch scheduled for March 3.

Inno expressed her gratitude for the support and understanding of the congregation during this challenging time. She also thanked her husband for his unwavering support in leading two growing branches of the church.

With heavy hearts, the congregation prepared for their farewell service in Mooikloof, acknowledging the bittersweet nature of saying goodbye to a place where they had hoped to build a spiritual home.
