Uzalo Actor and 2 Gqom Artists Grateful After Car Crash

Three Durban talents are expressing their gratitude for surviving a car crash during their journey to a Hillcrest performance outside the city. Former Durban Gen actor Bhekisizwe Mahlawu, along with Gqom artists Bhar and Sosha Ngcobo, recounted their fortunate escape from a severe accident.

Although Mahlawu’s car was declared a write-off, he emphasizes the value of life beyond material possessions, stating, “The car is replaceable, but life is more precious and valuable.” The trio’s survival was credited to their use of seatbelts, which prevented more serious injuries, although two of them are still receiving hospital treatment for critical wounds.
