37 year old woman killed her 3 children and hung herself
In Gcuwa, Tholeni, an Eastern Cape community was shocked by a tragic incident of triple murder and suicide. Bongeka Buso (38) reportedly killed her three children before taking her own life. The horrifying scene was discovered when a visitor found Bongeka hanging from a rope in her home, while her children Orabile Buso (8), Oratile Buso (5), and Anathi Buso (about 14 years old) were found dead as well.
Suspected motives for the tragedy include poverty, as the community struggles with socioeconomic challenges. An inquest and a case of murder x3 have been opened for investigation.
The incident has highlighted the importance of addressing mental health and poverty issues to prevent such heart-wrenching events. Community members and advocates emphasize the need for intervention and mental health support, urging open dialogue about problems to prevent further tragedies.
