Award-winning actor Wiseman Mncube, renowned for his portrayal of Sibonelo in the popular soap opera Uzalo, has bid farewell to the show.

The exit of his character, Sibonelo, will be marked by a dramatic storyline as TVSA reports that Sibonelo will meet his demise on Wednesday, 28 February in Uzalo. According to teasers, Sibonelo will meet his end with a bullet to the head, while Nkunzi, portrayed by Msiza Masoja, will face a harrowing ordeal as he is buried alive.

In the aftermath of Sibonelo’s death, the March teasers reveal the grieving process of his parents, Nkunzi and Gabisile, played by Msiza Masoja and Baby Cele respectively. Nkunzi will turn to culture for solace while Gabisile grapples with feelings of isolation.

Despite his departure from Uzalo, Wiseman Mncube has landed a prominent role in the Mzansi Magic telenovela, My Brother’s Keeper. He will play the lead character of Nqubeko in the series. Mncube’s versatile talent has been showcased in various roles, including Mandoza’s biopic and portrayals of King Zwide in Shaka Ilembe and Mqhele in The Wife season three.
